The Royal Highland Hotel enjoys a prime location, especially convenient for those arriving by train, as it is right next to the railway station, making it ideal for exploring Inverness. The hotel features a beautiful lobby and bar area, and many guests appreciate the original, charming antique aspects of the hotel, including a very nice staircase. Rooms are generally a good size, equipped with tea and coffee facilities, although some guests have noted that the decor feels a bit dated. A continental breakfast is available, however, cooked breakfast is made to order, but some have experienced the cooked components as pre-cooked.

great location polite staff good breakfast worn-out hotel difficult parking poor soundproofing
the location was fantastic. it was so close to the train station! the room was clean and the staff were really polite, i thought. the continental breakfast was a nice change and pretty good.
The hotel felt a little worn out. it could use some modernization, i think. the parking situation was difficult. It seemed almost impossible to find a spot right at the hotel. also, i was like the room wasn't very soundproof. I could hear noises pretty easily.
